SCHOOL LAW

Lynn M. Novotnak has, for many years, represented families who have children with disabilities in helping them to obtain free appropriate special education and related services from their local school districts. She is experienced and skilled in all aspects of Individuals with Disabilities in Education (IDEA) legal advice and representation, from mediation through hearings and multiple layers of federal appeals. She has represented families in getting appropriate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and, where suitable, placement in a specialized private educational setting at district expense. She is one of a relatively small number of attorneys in Wisconsin who regularly practice special education law for families and children.
