KASHOUA YANG
Kashoua Yang earned her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Lakeland College and her J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
During law school, she served as Co-President of the Law School Family Association, was a Writer and Articles Editor for the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender & Society, and participated in the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition. Ms. Yang served as a judicial intern for the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, District II and worked as an extern at the Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission.
Prior to joining Hawks Quindel, S.C., Ms. Yang was a family and criminal lawyer representing clients in divorce, custody/placement disputes, paternity actions, and post-judgment actions, including contempt and modifications. Moreover, she worked as Guardian ad Litem in both family and guardianship cases and represented individuals in misdemeanor criminal cases. Ms. Yang speaks fluent Hmong and has worked with Hmong clients in Dane, Milwaukee, and Sheboygan counties.
Ms. Yang is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar, Milwaukee Bar Association, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives. She is licensed to practice in Wisconsin. Ms. Yang practices in the following areas: family law, social security disability and supplemental security income, and worker's compensation.
