Attorney Sherman is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Dane County Bar Association, the Legal Association for Women, and the Wisconsin Association for Justice. She volunteers with the Wisconsin Lawyer Assistance Program (WisLAP).
Attorney Sherman joined Hawks Quindel’s Madison office in January 2017, after clerking for the firm since 2015. As a law clerk, she assisted with state and federal employment discrimination claims, including ADA, FMLA, pregnancy and sex discrimination claims, helped clients navigate the worker’s compensation system, and assisted with personal injury claims.
During law school, Attorney Sherman worked with the University of Wisconsin Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic, where she helped nonprofit organizations and small businesses develop employee agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and non-compete agreements. She interned at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and volunteered with the Wisconsin Access to Justice Commission, the Unemployment Appeals Clinic and as a student ambassador for the Wisconsin Lawyer Assistance Program (WisLAP).
In law school, Attorney Sherman received the Dean’s Academic Achievement Award, the Stewart Macaulay Award for Excellence and Leadership in Contract Law, and Best Performance Awards in Contract Law and Family Law. She was the 2015 recipient of the Association of Women Lawyers Scholarship and the 2016 recipient of the Gerald Konz Law Scholarship.
Attorney Sherman graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in December, 2016. Prior to law school, she completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006.
