A Walgreens employee has recovered the short term disability (STD) benefits due to her thanks to an appeal by Attorneys William Parsons and Danielle Schroder. The Split Case Handler had been working for Walgreens Distribution Center for approximately 13 years when she injured her back and was required to take disability leave. Despite her inability to work, Sedgwick CMS denied her claim for STD benefits. The insurance company affirmed its decision on review. The employee then retained counsel to assist with her third and final administrative appeal. This time, Sedgwick recognized her disabling condition and approved her claim for benefits.
