DAVID ZOELLER
David Zoeller joined the law firm of Hawks Quindel in June 2009 as an associate attorney after practicing as an employment and class action litigation attorney in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mr. Zoeller has represented employees in multiple nationwide class and collective actions, and focuses his practice on wage and hour litigation under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Mr. Zoeller also represents clients in SSI and SSDI claims, employee benefits disputes (ERISA), labor litigation, and employment discrimination litigation.
Mr. Zoeller graduated with honors from Colgate University in 2002 and from the University of Wisconsin Law School with honors in 2007. During law school, Mr. Zoeller was the recipient of the Wisconsin Association of Workers Compensation Attorneys' Scholarship, the Wisconsin Lawyers Mutual Scholarship, and was a member and competitor for the University of Wisconsin Moot Court Board. Prior to law school, he taught with an Americorps volunteer program in San Diego, California, represented employees for the Worker's Rights Center (San Diego and Imperial Counties Labor Council, AFL-CIO), and lived and worked in Ecuador.
Mr. Zoeller is dedicated to seeking fair treatment for workers through the enforcement of labor and employment laws and is a zealous advocate for his clients. Mr. Zoeller is admitted to practice in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Mr. Zoeller has spoken on wage and hour issues at the University of Wisconsin Law School, Marquette University Law School, and on behalf of the Wisconsin State Bar. Mr. Zoeller was selected by his peers as one of Wisconsin's Up and Coming Lawyers, an award given by the Wisconsin Law Journal. Mr. Zoeller also sits on the board of the University of Wisconsin Law School's Economic Justice Institute.
