Professional Positions

We create career opportunities for our professional staff, often promoting from within. Professional staff get first-hand experience with what it’s like to work in a mid-sized law firm with several areas of practice, and consistently cite the camaraderie with their like-minded and diverse co-workers as one of the best benefits of working at Hawks Quindel.


Exceptional candidates have prior paralegal experience, or a paralegal studies degree. Experience with Worldox, Practice Master, or one of our areas of practice is a plus.

Legal Assistants

Our Legal Assistant positions require the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Intake Clerks

Intake staff are the only staff required to be bilingual in Spanish. As the voices of the firm and the people every potential client talks to, Intake staff must have exceptional phone customer service skills, as well as the ability to quickly get to the heart of the legal issues and accurately summarize them for our attorneys.

Administrative Assistants

Administrative Assistants assist in all areas of the firm including reception, intake and legal assisting. This well-rounded position requires a quick learner to work in a fast-paced environment with the prioritization skills to get things done.

While strong resumés and excellent lawyering skills are the norm, exceptional candidates have one or more of the following:

  • Ability and willingness to network, write blog posts and generate business
  • Spanish language fluency
  • Established referral sources, or a full or partial case load in practice areas similar or complementary to our existing practice areas (preferred but not required)

Law Clerks

Hawks Quindel typically hires one or two new 2L law clerks per year through the On Campus Interview system run by University of Wisconsin Law School and Marquette Law School. In addition, we host a summer open house for a diverse pool of candidates. Most law clerks who are able to successfully support our lawyers with research and excellent writing skills are offered Associate Attorney positions upon graduation.
