Waiver of Premium

Home  >  Waiver of Premium

If Your Insurance Company Has Refused to Waive Your Insurance Premiums While You are Disabled, Our Attorneys Can Help

Many of our clients with long-term disability claims are also covered by a waiver of premium policy for their life or health insurance plans. Typically, a waiver of premium policy allows a person to avoid paying premiums on their life or health insurance policies for as long as they qualify for long-term disability benefits. In other words, a waiver of premium policy allows a person and their dependents to remain covered under those insurance policies during a period of disability.

If your claim for long-term disability benefits has been denied, it is likely that your waiver of premium benefits will be denied as well.

Appealing A Denial Of Waiver of Premium Benefits

We understand that maintaining insurance coverage is critical for many of our clients while they are no longer able to work. We are experienced at appealing waiver of premium denials, and can appeal this denial simultaneously with our appeal of the insurance company’s denial of your claim for disability benefits.

If you have been denied waiver of premium benefits along with disability benefits, we’re ready to help. Contact one of Hawks Quindel’s experienced employee benefits attorneys for a free consultation to discuss your claim.

Please call a Madison employee benefits attorney directly at (608) 257-0040 or a Milwaukee employee benefits attorney at (414) 271-8650, or email us via our Contact Page.
