Attorney John Chick dedicates his legal practice to protecting the rights of working people and labor unions. Attorney Chick believes that all workers deserve a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, and exploitation. To these ends, he offers passionate and empathetic legal representation to his clients to help them achieve their goals.

Experience

Attorney Chick joined Hawks Quindel as a part-time law clerk during his second year of law school. During this period, Attorney Chick participated in Wisconsin Law School’s Neighborhood Law Clinic, representing low-income clients in rental housing and employment disputes. He additionally served as the student coordinator for the Unemployment Compensation Appeals Clinic, successfully obtaining multiple reversals for his clients following administrative appeal hearings. He was inducted into the Wisconsin Law School’s Pro Bono Society in recognition of his dedication to offering legal representation to underserved communities.

Attorney Chick served an Articles Editor for the Wisconsin Law Review. In December 2023, the Law Review published his article, which considered the labor and collective bargaining rights of the employees working at quasi-public institutions in states without strong labor protections for public employees.
