Attorney Larry Johnson was quoted in the Wisconsin Lawyer’s What’s Hot, What’s Not story indicating that wage and hour claims, including claims for unpaid overtime, will continue to increase. This continued increase will be fueled by modifications to the Fair Labor Standard Act’s regulations on the white-collar exemptions, including increasing the dollar amount an employee must make to qualify of the exemption. The DOL should publish the proposed rules later this month.
