The South Central Federation of Labor has recognized Attorney Aaron Halstead and Hawks Quindel, S.C., in its July 2011 issue of Union News, for pro bono legal advice and assistance Halstead provided before the enactment of 2011 Wisconsin Act 10 (the so-called “Budget Repair Bill”):
Special Thanks to Halstead and Hawks Quindel:
The South Central Federation of Labor Board extends a special thank you to Attorney Aaron Halstead and the law firm of Hawks Quindel for preparing a memo on the legal implications of various strike activities as part of our educational materials on the General Strike, which were disseminated earlier this year. Halstead responded quickly and without hesitation to a request for legal assistance and did so at no cost to the SCFL. Halstead’s memo, along with the other General Strike-related materials, is available at SCFL.org.
This is the second time in 2011 that SCFL has singled out the Hawks Quindel firm for recognition. In SCFL’s March 2011 issue of Union News, it credited the firm’s efforts in publishing a summary of the BRB’s provisions, which SCFL then reproduced for its affiliates.
